Christmas Sessions Now Available!

I am due in 5 weeks!!! WoooHooo, that is the most exciting news to me but for the rest of you who would much rather know about our Christmas sessions, I will not bore you with the details of my pregnancy. So, here you go. We are now booking for our 2009 Christmas Sessions. We have some beautiful cards to choose from this year (which you can see here- they are under the galleries section titled Christmas is Here.) as well as ornaments and 6×6 tiles that are perfect for grandma. We are excited to see all of you who have already scheduled with us and even though I might be following your family with a waddle in my step, it’s gonna be fun. Our sessions will start on November 1st and go through November 8th. The earlier you book, the better. All of the details are below. If you aren’t able to get in on our special, we are still offering Christmas sessions at our regular rate but all sessions must be booked by November 14th. After all, I am gonna be having a baby the next week and as much as I love you, I don’t want to be working for you while I am in labor. Hee Hee!!! Also, if you pre-order your cards by October 30th, we will throw in a second box for half price AND you will know how to make your family look extra good to match your card. I think both of those are well worth it. *Wink Wink* Okay, so go already, look at all of our pretty cards and then choose a package and call us. You know you want to!!!

I Love This Man!

NINE years ago today, I married the greatest man alive. He is my best friend!!! We met while we were at a missions school in Colorado. We have had a typical marriage with many ups and downs but despite it all we have remained close to the Lord and He is the ONLY thing that has held our family together. Marc is the funniest man alive. He makes me laugh until I hurt. I wish people could be a fly on our walls sometimes. We don’t have a perfect marriage and we are still learning so many things about each other but I am so thankful that the Lord allowed me to meet such a wonderful man. He is faithful, hardworking, loving, and talented. He rarely complains (unless he is totally out of underwear or something-I will never win a gold star for laundry), he loves to be with our children, he has a passion for the things of the Lord and leads our family to follow Him, he is a gift to me and to all who meet him. I will forever love you and can’t wait to go to ITALY next year for our 10th Anniversary. Hee Hee…..I keep throwing that gift idea around whenever I can. I thought this post was as good a time as any. I may be a photographer but we don’t have ANY “real” pics together so this is the best I had. I know, I know…we will get some one day!!!

Daddy, Mommy, and Dallen- 9 months

I have to say that I love love love this family and this sweet little boy. He is apart of our Baby Story so we have watched him grow from newborn sweetness to a 9 month old grinning munchkin. He is PRECIOUS!!! His mom always has some fun ideas up her sleeve and this shoot was NO exception. She showed up with a homemade fishing pole and the cutest little overalls you have ever seen. One of these days when we are done shooting, I am going to pick him up and put him in my pocket. He is so cute it hurts!!! Thank you Milfords for being such a great family. We have so much fun with you guys.

Fall Special!!!

Okay, I know that I am getting fall fever when I am ready to put out my pumpkins and mums and start sipping on hot apple cider or a super yummy pumpkin spice latte and it isn’t even September yet. I don’t know if that should qualify me as crazy or just very pregnant and ready to see the seasons change. See, once fall arrives then I am on the home stretch and I will finally be able to quit crying, breathe again, and walk without a waddle. ( I must say that my waddle is pretty cute though- HA!!!) I feel like a big stuffed turkey and let’s face it girls, as wonderful as a life being formed inside of you is, the thought of looking like a turkey when Thanksgiving is on it’s way is just NOT that much fun. Soooo, in honor of fall and me looking like a turkey, we are offering Fall Sessions on October 2-4 for $45.00. We are already booking appointments and slots are going fast so don’t be a procrastinator and wait until it feels like fall or you just might miss out. We hope to see you there.

The super fun Jackson family

I can’t even begin to express to you how wonderful this family is. Rachel (the mom) has been one of the most supportive clients we have ever had. She has three beautiful kiddos and trust me, they keep her on her toes. Her hubby works overseas and only gets to come home a few times a month so she truly is the definition of a “super mom”. She wanted to do a family session while he was in town this time and the kids were crazy happy to have him home. They have an incredible story and they have tons of fun together.

Daddy= human jungle gym!

Check out little Rosie working hard on mommy’s hair- I LOVE IT!!!

Windmills News Flash

So…blogging for us is clearly one of our BIGGEST weaknesses. Since we haven’t posted anything since spring, I thought I would give you a Windmills News Flash to catch you up on all that we have been doing. It has been quite a busy summer.

*All 7 kids have been at home with us EVERY day ALL day since school got out. (enough said for the lack of posts)

*I (Brooke) am expecting our third child! My hubby and I are really excited to be adding a boy to our mix. We have WAY too many girl emotions running around our house right now so the change will be fun. I am convinced that my hubby is trying to figure out a way to get a football in my tummy so that by the time Maddox comes out he will be able to throw for 700 yards and lead his team (The Broncos-of course) all the way to the Super Bowl. Maddox Maddox he’s our man, if he can’t do it nobody can!!! Oops, the inner cheerleader in me came out.

*Amy has been busy picking up my slack due to morning sickness and hormones, (what in the world would I do without you???) going to the beach with the family, running a drama camp at school with her super talented hubby, planting yummy veggies in the garden at her grandparents farm, (I have yet to get the first tomato. Does she not know that holding food from a preggo woman is a huge No-No), running VBS at her church, and the list goes on and on. I don’t know how she does it all, but I am starting to think that she has a wonder woman suit under her clothes. That is the only way she could do all that she does. I am hoping one day she will let me in on her secret.

*One night while I was on the phone with a client my sweet little Ava came screaming down the hall holding her arm. While trying to calm her down, I realized that her arm was bent in half and her bones were all but sticking out of her skin. I am not even sure what I said to the lady on the phone but I am sure it had nothing to do with packages or session styles. We rushed her to the ER and she had broken both of the bones in her arm and would now be in a cast for 8 weeks. So long summer!!! Getting everyone to the pool in one piece takes a miracle normally so add having to cover a 3 year olds cast in a bag without cutting the circulation off of her arm and one really doesn’t want to go swimming so much anymore. She will finally get her cast off on Aug. 5th and we are leaving for the beach the next day. I am about to die to get in the sun.

*We have been so blessed by all of the work we have had this summer. We have had some great shoots with some great families and are so excited about the rest of the year. We have so many things planned and can’t wait to share some of our ideas with you. Once these wonderful but crazy kids all get back in school and we begin to feel like normal women who have brains again then you better hold on to your hats because we are ready to conquer the world. For now, I will leave you with a picture of my 4 month preggo belly.

Beautiful Bundle of Joy

Welcome to the world little Olivia! Addie and Steve were beaming when I walked into the hospital room to meet their precious little girl. I fell in love with her lovely black hair and her round cheeks! I could not get over her little lips either! There is something so sacred about taking pictures for labor and delivery. I had the privilege of re-living all of the sweet moments I experienced with my own five babies. It reminded me of the shock and awe you feel giving life and seeing their sweet little face for the first time! There is nothing like it in all the world!  We are so looking foward to photographing Olivia throughout her first year! Congratulations Steve and Addie! She is GORGEOUS!

Little Boy Blue

This little guy gets more and more handsome every time we see him. He has the BEST personality and will do whatever you want him to. He is part of our Baby Story and this was his 3 month session. His baby blue eyes will hypnotize you so be careful. At the end of our session, his mom asked if we could get a few with the whole family including their two MASSIVE dogs. If you know anything about me, you know the bigger the dog, the more freaked out I am. I think these were the fastest photos I have ever taken. You should have seen me in a field with horses…..now that was funny. Needless to say, if you would like for your pets to be photographed please let me know before hand because I will need a valium. We had a great time as always with you Snead family.

Sportin’ some team spirit to make his daddy proud.

I am absolutely in love with this photo.

His expression makes me smile.

Little Michelin Man- check out those rolls

Beautiful Mom to Be

This couple was so fun to shoot. It is always such a pleasure to work with people who are up for anything and want to have fun. It makes for some totally unique shots and lets our creativity fly. We had a blast. Most of these were taken at the farm where Amy grew up. She can remember her grandparents working in the garden, waiting for the bus with the cows, and all of the adventures she used to have on all of that land. There isn’t a time that we go there to shoot where she doesn’t leave teary eyed. This place holds a very special place in her heart which make these photos that much more beautiful to us both. This sweet mamma gave birth a couple weeks after this session and we are dying to get the labor and delivery pics up. This baby is GORGEOUS. Hope you enjoy.
